I can still remember back in the day, yes I am old, getting up every morning and watching two cartoons before heading off to the brutal day the was Elementary School. Those cartoons: Transformers and G.I. Joe. We’ve already had a Transformer’s movie remake and corresponding game; but, for the love of everything descent and gaming, lets hope EA does a better job with the upcoming G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra game then Traveller’s Tales did with Transformers. By the look of the screens below I would say they are off to a good start! Expect the game to be released along side the movie.

Just added to the content release for G.I. Joe is the following gameplay trailer. One question for you all: Does it look a little too “cartoonish”? In the full length movie trailers I have seen it appears the producer were trying to stray away from the older cartoon and brin G.I. Joe into the modern age. But this trailer makes me think EA will be trying to make the game for the “lower common gamer” and the more “hardcore” gamers, that want a true, serious G.I. Joe game, are going to be shaken their heads on release day. Take a look at the quick trailer below and let us know what you think.

There is no Double EXP Weekend playlist this week due to some issues releases the January Matchmaking update. The intention was to have 3 Ball as the playlist, but that has been moved to Tuesday when the new Matchmaking changes go into effect.
